Energy Audits
Our site audits provide a quick and easy-to-understand outline of where your energy costs are coming from and how best to reduce them over time. Energy audits are mandatory for SEAI grant programs such as the Community Energy Grant (CEG formerly BEC)

Sportslink is a large modern leisure centre with multiple facility located in Santry Dublin 9. Our energy costs are considerable however with the help of Mr Harrington and FutureFits we managed reduced our bills significantly and received funding for 3 consecutive years. We have upgrade our indoor facilities and floodlights on our Astro Pitch , Tennis Court, Bowling Green and Avenue Lights. Sportslink also install a new combined heat and power unit (CHP) for the entire site. With Mr Harrington’s assistance we have connected with a large employer in our community who provided top-up funding for this project. John in FutureFit helped us source SEAI funding for a refrigeration upgrade for our shop in Carndonagh, Co. Donegal in 2018. He explained the grant process clearly and worked with our contractors to secure both the technical and financial information required. When part of the grant was withheld by SEAI, FutureFit lodged an appeal to ensure it was fully restored. They were pleasant and professional to work with and never gave up until the grant was paid.

Faith in Action Ballineaspaig Parish is a Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) in Cork. Our aim is to develop a sustainable energy system in our parish and surrounding areas. We are grateful to FutureFit for facilitating our collaboration with a local business in a Better Energy Community (BEC) project. As part of the project, they made a community contribution to our SEC of a percentage of the SEAI grant they received, which has enabled us to make alterations to our parish meeting room to provide more energy efficient lighting and heating.

CLG Na Fianna successfully applied through FutureFit in 2017 for SEAI grant aid to help with a major refit of some club infrastructure, including virtually all the lighting fittings in the clubhouse. The aim was to reduce the energy consumption and maintenance costs and ultimately to save ongoing expenses while helping the general environment. We had known John Harrington/FutureFit for a number of years at that point and we were always very impressed with his practical knowledge and great enthusiasm for the whole area of improving the energy consumption and efficiency of existing installations. John and his team guided us through the application and vetting process which in due course led to a successful result and we were able to complete the project with approx. 50% grant funding making the decision to proceed with the work possible.
